Texas police arrest teen in dog attack

A Texas man has been arrested on charges of first-degree cruelty to a domesticated animal after a woman told police that she tried to stop him from biting her dog.

The incident occurred on Sunday in the 800 block of West Sixth Street in Austin, according to police.

An officer told KHOU.com that the woman was walking her dog, the dog’s owner said, when the suspect “pounced on the dog” and began to bite the animal.

The dog was later found to be a pit bull.
