How vintage barbers shop in the city centre

With a growing number of barbers shops being shut down due to a lack of space, it has been revealed that many of them are located in the heart of the city.

A new barbershop, which opened last week, is one example of the trend, with locals claiming it was “beautiful” to see how the old style barbershops used to look.

It opened at the corner of St Stephen’s Green and West Strand Streets, in the centre of the central city, on a busy Saturday night.

It has now closed its doors for good, as well as its new location, which is in a more traditional shop next door to the original barbers.

The owner of the barberswear shop, David McIlroy, said the shop had always been in a “traditional” location, but he had recently had to shut down because of the “vast demand”.

“When we opened up this shop in April, we had a huge demand,” he said.

“It was beautiful and we’ve got to say we are grateful for all the love and support we’ve received from people.” “

“It’s a bit of a shock to see the old barbers now closed down,” he added. “

“If you walk into a place that’s been open for 30 years, it will look very different.” “

McIlyr added that the shop was “a really good fit” for the area, and he hoped it would be the last of the shops in the neighbourhood. “

“I’m really proud of the old shops that I’ve worked in, and they were great for me,” he concluded.

The barbers at the shop have a different look to the traditional shops, but there are many of the same services, he said, which was one of the reasons the shop became such a success.

“You can’t have a lot going on in one place.””
