A barber in Albuquerque will open his own barbershop after he was forced out of his business by a neighboring barber.
In a Facebook post Monday, David Alvarado said he was told he was not welcome at his own shop.
The barber was able to keep his business for another five years, he said.
The owner of the barbers shop said he wasn’t going to take it anymore.
He says he had already planned to retire, so he’s trying to make a living doing what he loves.
He has plans for his new shop, which is open for business Friday.
Alvarado has lived in Albuquerque for 25 years.
He said he is glad to be back.
